Girls Activator Role

Minster Lovell Cricket Club are pleased to announce the introduction of Girls Dynamo cricket sessions on Friday evenings from May 8th onwards for 10 weeks at Wash Meadow.

To support this and the participation in up to 6 Sunday festivals where we will play against teams from other clubs we are looking to appoint a Lead activator to run this activity from 2026 onwards.

Dynamos Cricket is an ECB programme for girls from 8-11 years old . Each week there will be a focus on different cricket skills aimed at growing their confidence and ability and their love of the game. We expect many of our dynamos will progress to play under 11 hardball cricket.

The primary role of a Dynamos Cricket Activator is to facilitate game play and coordinate activities and warm-ups with parents and other volunteers. Cricket knowledge is preferred, but certainly not a pre-requisite, and you don’t have to be a qualified coach. You will need lots of energy, a passion for getting children involved in sport and the ability to inspire children and adults. You will be supported by an experienced team of coaches and activators who are already in place with many years experience of delivering all stars and boys dynamos cricket

To be able to deliver the All Stars/Dynamos programme as an accredited activator (coach), we will work with you to ensure:
• You are 18 years or over, (if younger than this you would still be able to be involved but just not as an activator)
• You have an ECB enhanced DBS -
• You attend a face-to-face Activator training session and an online training through e-learning
• You complete the Safeguarding for Coaches and Activators course through e learning

If you are interested in this role please wite to us on info@minsterlovellcricket.co.uk or call John Manning on 07709 577852
